Energy Retrofit of Domestic Buildings

PAS 2035 energy retrofit of domestic propertiesIn 2015 the Government carried out the Each Home Counts review, this aimed to identify and investigate why there has been such a high failure in the past of domestic retrofit schemes of energy efficiency and renewable measures. The result is PAS 2035:2019, which is a new specification for the energy retrofit of domestic buildings.

The Government has proposed to make compliance with PAS 2035 mandatory for all publicly-funded projects.

PAS 2035 aims to deliver a whole building approach to the energy retrofit of domestic buildingsĀ process. It takes into account the building, it’s environment, the occupancy and the home owner/occupants improvement objectives when deciding on the most suitable energy saving measures to install.
